The world now revolves on greed and selfishness for some folks.
Sometimes I have to sit back and smile gently in my happy poverty at all those lost souls who are immersed in it, as they think it's so important to be the biggest, best, have the newest cars, highest paid jobs, gadgets, an emormous house, go to the most expensive restuarants etc. They can't see the wood for the trees.
That's exactly how I feel, NL. It's not so much a smug feeling as a generally good feeling because I'm grateful I'm managing to find my way back to a simpler way of living without being bogged down by the gadgets and gizmos that, for some daft reason, I'd started to think were important.
It's greed that will cause out ultimate downfall, no doubt about that.
I appreciate the comments you leave as I find them inspiring, thought provoking, funny and some have even been known to bring a tear to my eye. I try to answer as quickly as possible but sometimes I miss a few. Please excuse me if that happens to you.
