Fare Thee Well

This is possibly the most difficult blog post I’ve ever written because I’ve truly enjoyed the eleven months I’ve been writing here and, more so, the friends I’ve made along the way. But because I need to sever some ties now I won’t be posting any more.

While certain people still have access to my life through these ramblings, I’ll never truly feel disengaged from them. Despite promises to the contrary, they’re still here, injecting their toxicity into my life and unless I cut all contact, I’ll never be able to move on.

I’ll be changing my email address - those of you who’d like to stay in touch can still contact me on the old one (dioritt (@) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk) for the next few days or so but I’ll eventually stop checking that account. You can have the new one, though. If you have a Facebook account, please feel free to add me there too. You’ll find me under Sharon Jacobsen.

Thanks to you all for the wonderful comments you’ve left and the inspiration you’ve given me. It’s been a lot of fun, you’ve given me food for thought, and I’m gonna to miss this part of life. But I'll still be visiting your blogs, so I won't disappear entirely. You don't get rid of me that easily.

I may be blogging again some time in the future. I’m just not sure yet.

Sharon J xx

I'll miss checking your blog everyday but I do respect you must be going through tough times and you need to do whatever it takes to minimise the stress levels and stay healthy and happy.

Do keep in touch through my blog when you can. You know my email address as well.

    Stay well and God bless.

You can always start a new blog as anonymous and just email your friends as to where you are.......

  13. Gosh Sharon I'm selfishly feeling completely gutted for me but obviously understand your reasons. I've been inspired every single time I have read your posts, your frequency and quality of writing have been awesome and everything you have written about has provoked me to think long and hard about things.

You are very special and I shall miss visiting your site a great deal but hopefully knowing you are 'out there' will encourage me to write more than I currently do.

Thanks for giving us so much.

  16. Hi Sharon

Just a thought but maybe it is worth considering setting up a private Blogger blog (or converting this one to be private) - where users have to log in before they can see content...

All the best. I will miss you hugely (and thank you for all the comments you have left on my blog too in the past)
    xx

  23. Thanks, folks. All these nice messages have really touched me :)

It's been a blast - I've really enjoyed getting to know you all. As I said, I will still be visiting your blogs so I'm not disappearing into the ether forever but although it's nice to visit you, I'm gonna miss having you over to mine :)

  24. Sharon - i can well understand your reasons for having to do this. I'd like to keep in touch - i think you know how to reach me through my blog - but i don't have facebook, so i can't add you there. If you ever do go back to blogging, will you let me know, please? [you could always start a completely new blog under a completely new name, and just let certain individuals that you *want* to know where you are, where you are... or alternatively, blog privately. I think LiveJournal, possibly blogspot and wordpress allow you to do that. Certainly you can stop google searches going through your blog if you know how.]

Many thanks - and good luck!

  32. Dear Sharon

I'm so sad that you have given up blogging (for the moment). Your blog was so brave and true. A real breath of fresh air.

Unfortunately I don't have much time to catch up with other blogs ATM but yours is one of the few that I click on and read avidly when I have some time to myself. You have real talent so please, please start blogging again soon.

I'd love to know your new email address. Mine is fn AT btinternet Dot com. Please keep in touch.
