Dad Has Died

After a long illness my dad finally found peace this morning.

I have to get to London somehow.

I don't know when I'll be back. Sorry.

UPDATE: Richard is taking the trouble to drive me down on Monday and then take the train back up (I need my car there in order to get around but can't drive such a long distance alone) and Carol has kindly offered me a bed for the duration as well as any extra help that my mum and I might need. I'll probably be gone a couple of weeks.

Thank you everybody for your kind wishes, both in the comments here, through emails, and on Facebook.

  5. I'm so sorry to hear this... I hope you manage to get down to London and get things sorted out. Don't worry about the blog. It'll be here - as your readers will be - when you are ready to take up the mantle again, or even just when you need to vent stuff.

Focus on you n your family now. That's what's important.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I've only just read your post as I've been putting flooring down all weekend and yesterday and haven't had the computer on.

I'm sure it will be great seeing your Paul again, if not for such sad circumstances.

My prayers to your family and your father.

    Thinking of you

  21. We got down to London OK and arrived about 7.30. Although Sharon does have her laptop with her nobody has any internet access down there so unless she can find an unsecure WiFi link there will be little news from her for a couple of weeks. But everyone is bearing up well

  22. Christine has internet access!!!! Dunno if Sharon can find the time/energy to get round there though.
