What Tree Are You?

I found a web page yesterday that lists what your tree is according to your birthday. As I love trees I found it quite interesting. Apparently, my tree is a pine tree.

My characteristics, according to the chart are:

Loves agreeable company, very robust, knows how to make life comfortable, very active, natural, good companion but seldom friendly, falls easily in love but passion burns out quickly, gives up easily, everything disappoints until it finds its ideal, trustworthy, practical.

Hmmm… I’ll have to leave that up to others to decide whether or not that’s me. I can definitely see some similarities there though.

Could being connected with pine trees be the reason I was drawn to Norway?

Appsrently I am a cedar tree - "of rare beauty, knows how to adapt, likes luxury, of good health, not in the least shy, tends to look down on others, self-confident, determined, impatient, likes to impress others, many talents, industrious, healthy optimism, waiting for the one true love, able to make quick decisions."

Like you said Sharon, some seem similar, but not all.

Anyway I don't mind which tree I am - they are are wonderful.

Apple tree for me : (the Love) - of slight build, lots of charm, appeal, and attraction, pleasant aura, flirtatious, adventurous, sensitive, always in love, wants to love and be loved, faithful and tender partner, very generous, scientific talents, lives for today, a carefree philosopher with imagination.

One of my first memories is being taken on a hike by my parents (I say a hike, I was so little I could barely walk, it was up to a scenic point near where I lived). I remember dropping an apple core and going to pick it up and my mum said to leave it be because it would grow into a beautiful tree one day. I've never gone back to check :)

I think Sharon I would definitely say you love agreeable company (you don't suffer fools), you're robust considering what you've been through, you seem to have made a very comfortable life for yourself (in the sense of surrounding yourself with things you love), you have an active mind and are definitely practical when it comes to giving advice. I don't think you give up easily though!?

@ Grow Ur Own. I so agree that all trees are wonderful. Imagine a world without them - unthinkable.

@ Jade. I give up when I've had enough, but I guess that goes for most people. Some think I give up too easily, others say I persevere with things for too long so I guess it depends on individual perspective really.

HAZELNUT TREE (the Extraordinary) - charming, undemanding, very understanding, knows how to make an impression, active fighter for social cause, popular, moody, and capricious lover, honest, and tolerant partner, precise sense of judgment.

Thats mine.Don't know about the tolerant and very understanding bit!!!

To be honest Carol, we both know it's a load of codswallop, don't we? There will always be parts that fit and some will go away believing it. It's a bit of fun and I thought being as I love trees so much...

I do wonder whether the actual tree connection means something though. Just not the personality side of it.

Weird.

Weird? Like the rest of us, some of it matches and some of it definitely doesn't.

ELM TREE (the Noble-mindedness) - pleasant shape, tasteful clothes, modest demands, tends not to forgive mistakes, cheerful, likes to lead but not to obey, honest and faithful partner, likes making decisions for others, noble-minded, generous, good sense of humor, practical.

Pleasant shape... god no, need to lose some weight!
Clothes anything I can find to put on...
The rest.. debatable!!

Good fun though!!

@ Aromatic. It probably means the shape you're meant to be. Just think of the diva that's waiting to get out :)

@ Anonymous. Just don't come anywhere near my trees with it!

OMG Sharon.... This is me all over...
CHESTNUT TREE (the Honesty) - of unusual beauty, does not want to impress, well-developed sense of justice, vivacious, interested, a born diplomat, but irritates easily and sensitive in company, often due to a lack of self confidence, acts sometimes superior, feels not understood loves only once, has difficulties in finding a partner.

Well.... most of it anyway.

WOW! to you!

I didn't realise that three fingers held up was the real peace sign.

An interesting site (but it got my hubby all wrong - maybe he was supposed to be born in February instead of August...lol.

@ Carol. Those were your words luv, not mine. Of course, if you're a twisted hazel.... erm, best shut up now :)

@ L-Jay. I didn't know about the peace sign either but it does make sense, doesn't it? I mean the V for victory meaning that somebody's a loser.
